Supplies for Smiles is a student-led initiative raising funds and collecting school supplies for shelters and under-resourced schools in Pakistan.
About us
Our mission is to provide school supplies, which we consider as essentials in the US, to underprivileged children in shelters in Pakistan. I decided to start this project to give back to my community in Pakistan. Growing up visiting my parents home country, l've seen necessities taken for granted in the US be considered luxuries in Pakistan. I believe that education should be a right for everyone, and access to school supplies is essential to enable learning. That's why we raise money to fund necessary school supplies for children in shelters to create opportunities and promote their learning.
Project Update: Your Support Is Making a Difference
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we're excited to share the progress being made at Asma Homes.
🏫 Classroom Renovation Completed
A portion of the funds raised has been used to fully renovate a classroom in the boys' home, creating a brighter, safer, and more welcoming learning environment. Improvements included:
- New stone flooring
- Ceiling repairs and improvements
- New lighting
- Fresh paint
- Carpentry work
- Electrical upgrades
- New classroom windows
- These renovations provide the child
👟 New Shoes for Every Child
Your donations also provided a new pair of shoes for every child living in both the boys' and girls' homes, ensuring each child has comfortable, durable footwear.
🏗️ Expansion of the Girls' Home
The remaining funds are being invested in the continued expansion and renovation of the girls' home, helping create a safer and more supportive living environment for the children.
We are excited to share a few photos highlighting the classroom renovation, the children receiving their new shoes, and the ongoing progress on the girls' home expansion.

Purchasing supplies locally
We buy directly from local stores so every donation helps both students, communities and small businesses so we give directly from local vendors to schools taking away any overhead costs.
Delivering to schools
Nothing beats the moment we hand over new supplies personally to the children and see the excitement in every classroom.
